Tea Ceremony with Kristen Wesenberg
Upcoming dates: Sunday March 1 & 29 | An intentional gathering of ritual, presence, and connection.
Description
When you choose to step into tea ceremony, you are entering a space of ritual connection with tea spirit. Throughout the first hour, you will be in silent communion with tea, receiving the precise medicine you need to meet this moment in your life. During this time, Kristen creates the ritual container and brews many bowls of tea, inviting you to rest into spacious receptivity. After an hour spent in communion with tea, the experience is gently sealed and the circle opens. Guests are invited to share what feels true from their journey with tea. This may be a revealing of the gift received, an expression of gratitude, or a choice to remain in silence. Everything that is shared is offered as a gift to the entire circle, including your presence. Tea ceremony is an incredible space for connection - to your centre, to one another, and to the natural world. In Kristen’s experience, it supports a felt sense of safety, grounding, nourishment, and belonging within the web of life. The medicine of tea is deeply nurturing and supportive. Each ceremony gently erodes the rough edges, revealing the true shape of who you are, bowl by bowl. Every experience is deeply personal. The circle is intelligent. Tea is a powerful ally and guide. If you feel called, trust that there is something here for you. The only way to truly know what awaits is to step into the circle. About Kristen: Kristen has been practicing personal tea ritual for over five years, cultivating a deep and nourishing relationship with tea as guide and ally. In the spring of 2022, she began her study of tea service, initially offering ceremony within her most intimate circle as a way of tending to the wellbeing of those she loves. In January of 2024, she received a clear inner message: it was time to offer this gift more widely and serve her community. The vision she received reflected the very space at Drift Yoga long before its doors opened to the public. Kristen now offers tea ceremony as an act of service, devotion, and care. A prayer that the medicine of tea softens the heart, deepens connection, and reminds us of the importance of tending our own cup first.
